1. Spiritual Interference: When the Unseen Speaks
There are moments when the air thickens, when time slows, and when the unseen world presses in just enough to remind us that we do not walk this life alone. Some call it intuition, others a haunting. I know it as interference—spiritual interference—where messages from beyond the veil slip into the cracks of my everyday life. Some come as whispers, others as urgent warnings, and at times, as a presence that grips me by the shoulders and demands to be heard.
This isn’t the magic of fairytales, nor is it the indulgence of a restless mind. This is old-world mysticism tangled with the practical wisdom of a curandera. A curandera does not waste time with frivolity. She sees the signs, interprets the symbols, and then, with a knowing nod, she gets to work. The world of spirits and energy is not a playground—it is a sacred and unruly space that demands both reverence and discipline.
The Subtle and the Overt: How Spiritual Interference Manifests
Interference comes in many forms, sometimes subtle, other times undeniable. The most common way it shows up in my life is through an undeniable shift in energy. The temperature in a room changes, a shadow moves in the corner of my eye, or a certain smell—a perfume not worn in decades—clings to the air.
At its most intense, it speaks directly. Spirits, ancestors, and guides come through with clarity that leaves no room for doubt. A stranger in a coffee shop says something that mirrors the words whispered in my ear the night before. A song plays on the radio at the exact moment I am thinking of someone who has passed. A candle flickers violently when the room is still. These are not coincidences. These are messages, interruptions, nudges from forces unseen.
Spiritual Interference in Career
In career, spiritual interference can show up as sudden roadblocks or unexpected opportunities. There are times when no matter how much effort you put into something, the energy simply does not align. Jobs fall through, promotions are delayed, or businesses struggle despite careful planning. This can be a sign that you are being redirected.
On the other hand, interference can also manifest as an unexpected stroke of luck—meeting the right person at the right time, stumbling upon a job posting that feels divinely placed, or receiving a nudge to walk away from something that no longer serves you. When interference appears in career matters, it is crucial to listen.
Spiritual Interference in Health
The body is a vessel that carries both our own energy and the weight of spiritual interference. When something is off, it often manifests physically. Chronic fatigue, mysterious illnesses, or lingering pain that doctors cannot explain can sometimes be more than just a medical issue—they can be an energetic imbalance, a sign of unprocessed emotions, or even the presence of ancestral wounds.
I have seen interference in health as sudden, unshakable exhaustion before a major life shift, or an ailment that only heals when an emotional or spiritual block is addressed. The body speaks, and so do the spirits. Its important to understand that healing is not just about medicine but about listening—listening to what the body is trying to release and what energies need to be cleared.
Spiritual Interference in Relationships
Love, friendship, and family are deeply affected by the unseen. Sometimes, interference appears as a protective force, warning against relationships that are not in alignment. Perhaps every time you try to move forward with a person, obstacles appear—misunderstandings, distance, or an unshakable feeling of unease. Other times, interference can push two people together, creating synchronicities that make it impossible to ignore the connection.
Toxic relationships often have a spiritual component. Ancestral patterns, karmic cycles, and unresolved past-life ties can all play a role. When interference shows up in relationships, it is an invitation to examine the deeper layers—what lessons are being presented, what cycles need to be broken, and whether the connection is meant to continue or be released.
Spiritual Interference in Luck and General Fortune
Luck is not always random. There are times when energy flows effortlessly, bringing fortune, ease, and unexpected blessings. Then, there are times when nothing seems to go right—plans fall apart, finances tighten, and opportunities slip through your fingers. Spiritual interference can amplify or block luck, often depending on whether you are aligned with your true path.
Ancestral blessings can bring sudden windfalls, while unresolved ancestral burdens can create repeated patterns of struggle. Sometimes, interference manifests as an external force—a stranger’s generosity, an opportunity that appears out of nowhere, or a sudden urge to take a risk that pays off. Other times, it comes as a lesson in patience, reminding us that timing is divine and that what is meant for us will come when we are ready.
The Call to Action: When the Spirits Demand Movement
One cannot live with interference without acknowledging its purpose. Spirits do not simply whisper for the sake of hearing their own echoes. They come with intention, with a call to action. Sometimes, it is as simple as passing on a message to someone who needs it. Other times, it requires a deeper act—healing a generational wound, breaking a cycle, or stepping into a role one has long resisted.
There have been times when I resisted, when I shut my ears and ignored the pressing insistence of the unseen. But spirits are patient, and they are persistent. The more one resists, the louder they become.To ignore such calls is to invite discomfort, illness, or misfortune. So, listen, take action and move with intention.
Living in Balance: The Practical and the Mystical
While I exist in this world with one foot in the unseen, I am also deeply practical. I pay my bills. I drive my car. I navigate the modern world with the no-nonsense approach of someone who knows that spiritual wisdom means nothing if it cannot be applied to real life.
I believe that spiritual interference is not meant to be an obstacle but a guide. It is not about living in a dreamlike state, constantly looking for omens and symbols. It is about knowing when to listen, when to act, and when to simply be present. A curandera I cannot spend all my time in the realm of spirits. She also knows how to live—how to laugh, love, and dance. She understands that this world, too, is sacred.
